Again, I have missed the correct date! (I do not improve through the years.) But, I do remember my old friend Pat, and always will. He was a great friend.

I do keep missing the correct anniversary date (14th September), but at least I do remember my old friend Pat, whom I first met in 1968. He befriended me during our initial few days as first-year undergraduates, and that helped me settle in to student life. We remained friends after that, and I came to stay with Pat and his wife in Bergen, in 1985, having a lovely holiday with them, in a beautiful country; my olny visit to Norway so far. Rest in Peace, Pat.

A year after his passing, I remember Pat. I have vivid memories of a fun time at university and afterwards. He was a great personality, sometimes grumpy (!), but always a friend.

I too was a maths student with Pat and Howard. Pat was a gentle giant in both stature and intellect. I have many fond memories of our time together. May Pat rest In peace.

I was a maths student with Pat in the late 1960s. He was a great friend, larger than life, and a fun person. His birthday parties were always lively (!) and always featured loud Beatles songs. Much to my regret, I lost touch with Pat in the late 1980s, and only contacted him again in 2018, when he was already unwell. A really good friend to me. Always appreciated.

We have very happy memories of visiting Berit and Pat in Bergen. Pat was a good, honest person and friend, we shall miss him.
